As time goes on an excess layer of thatch begins to accumulate on your lawn just above the soil surface. This is organic debris that hasn’t broken down and includes things such as grass clippings and dead roots. A thin layer is beneficial, but anything over 1/2″ is not good for your lawn. It acts like a sponge and a barrier preventing water and nutrients from getting into your soil. A power rake uses metal flails to pull the debris so that it can be removed. What does this mean for you? A healthier more drought tolerant lawn requiring less water and nutrients!

– Due to the size of our machines we need a minimum access width of 31″ for the power rake. As well, these are large and heavy machines so please ensure there is suitable access to all areas requiring service.
